What Causes Discomfort In The Vagina During Periods?

my vagina feels like there is something inside it, but I have adequately removed all tampons and am not sexually active nor have I ever been. there is no discharge, but I am currently on my period. Also I am under a significant amount of stress. The pressure or fullness began around 2 days before my period started and is still present. I went to the doctor and they saw no sign of infection in my urine. I have never experienced any feeling like this before during my period, which makes me doubt it is from my period. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common during periods and is due to bleeding. Nothing much to worry and no treatment is required. If symptoms persist better to consult a gynaecologist and plan for a per speculum examination.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
