Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past couple of days my tongue has felt just uncomfortable in my mouth-like it's pushing against my bottom teeth or up against the roof of my mouth. I've never felt like this before and unsure how to really describe it other than my mouth feels tense and uncomfortable.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have discomfort in the tongue which seems to be due to a condition known as partial ankyloglossia which is also known as tongue tie. Need not to worry. In this there is no problem in normal tongue movements however when tongue has to overextend it becomes restricted near back of teeth and roof of mouth.
I would suggest you to consult your dentist and get complete examination done. Dentist may refer you to oral surgeon if he/ she finds need of a procedure frenectomy in which tongue tie will be resolved and there will be free movement of tongue.
