What Causes Discomfort In The Hand Radiating To The Shoulder And Armpit?

I have had both carpal and cubital tunnel surgery and whilst it did work to start off with, the pins and needles have returned. But now I am getting this feeling starting in my hand and goes up my entire arm into the shoulder and arm pit. this is happening at least 30-40 times a day and also wake me at night. should I go back to my consultant or GP. It also sends my arm into spasms in my muscles which is not a great sensation

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be due to musculoskeletal pain.

As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
