What Causes Discomfort In Esophagus Post Intake Of Spicy Food?
Mostly when I take meals which is a little bit spicy, the area between the stomach and the food pipe causes me slight pain and make the area feel little bit burning. I have tried the rabiprazole for sometime, it shows the results the conditions improved but after sometime it recurs. I feel afraid when I have to take the meals. Meanwhile, if anything like milk, fruits etc are taken, no burning etc is felt. I hope I may receive a proper answer from the expert aftab

The burning sensation caused in area between stomach and food pipe (epigastrium) could be due to ulcer or growth in gastro-esophageal junction. I suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
