What Causes Discomfort In Chest While Coughing Along With Dizzy Spells?
I m having some discomfort in my chest especially when I cough. I do not have any cold symptoms. I have had a couple of dizzy spells. One this morning made me fall down. I am now experiencing paindown my left leg from thigh to ankle. I am a 58 year old woman.
As by seeing your history, i can understand you had a fall. Keeping your age as 58 into consideration there might be a possibility that you have weak bones and also weak muscles too. This is just a possibility. Also, as you fell down, the mechanism of fall is unknown so may be you have fallen on your back and lead to the lumbar spinesoft tissue injury, which is giving you the symptoms of the pain from thigh to ankle. This is the classical symptoms of pinched nerve.
For this , you can take the MRI on the safer note to understand the extent of soft tissue or bony injury.
Also, physical therapy can help further by therapeutic ultrasound therapy and also TENS therapy for pain management. Post that exercises are more important to keep the muscles to optimum strength to avoid future pains and aches.
Usually 99% of cases recover with symptomatic medication for pain relief and physical therapy.
With the grace of God i wish you a good health
