What Causes Discomfort And White Patch At The Back Of Throat While Having Sore Throat?

I have been having a sore throat and i noticed a pocket in the upper right part of my mouth going toward my throat and it is white on the inside. I have never seen it before and it is causing discomfort when i swallow, breath, cough, ect. What could it be ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms you are suffering from throat infection and the pocket that you have is a pus pocket which is caused due to infection and is commonly seen in case of bacterial infection..

Nothing to worry consult an ENT expert and get evaluated..
He/ she can advise you to take a course of antibiotics like AZITHROMYCIN 500 mg once daily for 5 days..
For pain you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Do warm saline gargles.
Chew a Vitamic C pellet daily..
Avoid hot and spicy food..
Steam inhalations and using a cool mist humidifier is further soothing to the throat..
