What Causes Discharge From Nose And Ear After A Bout Of Influenza?
Hi - I am just recovering from a severe bout of influenza (chills and swetts) which has included a blocked nose and sinus issues. I now have reddy/pink discharge from my right nostril and ear and i can hear water/fluid in my right ear. I cant stop the discharge or the pain. Until now, i have been self medicating with Lemsip and ibuprofen. Do you know what has happened to my ear?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, this could be allergic condition but ear discharge could be due to pre-existing condition of perforation of tympanic membrane, and this need to be differentiated or rule out, else this is nothing to worry, antibiotic is advisable for safe side, every thing would be fine just be patience, hope this information helps, take care. (Such condition is self limiting and may not need any specific treatment )
