What Causes Dis-functioning Of Bladder Causing Difficulty To Urinate?
My Urologist told my Prostate was fine but my bladder is unable to push all the urine out so I need to use a catheter 3 times a day. He said it could improve with time and There will be no need for catheter use. After testing and a scope today he said my bladder was not functioning correctly. He called it trebeculatim(hard to read his writing). He said its nerve trauma (something to that affect). He usually sees it in people with spinal cord injuries but that s not me. He said maybe 1 out of a thousand get it. The first week of October I had a Abdominal hernia repair which was the result of a fall on my stomach in 2002 which caused cuts to my liver that had to be repaired. When they closed me back up it created the Swiss Cheese affect. When I went in for my surgery the morning of the operation I was told to go empty my bladder(I thought I did) but retained 200 units. The surgery was done at the VA in Portland Oregon. They we re so swamped they sent me to an outside Urologist for my tests. Up till today I was using a foley catheter . Is there anything I can do to restore my bladder quicker? Thank you Dave
