What Causes Difficulty To Urinate Inspite Of A Catheter Post Gall Bladder Removal?

My husband had his gallbladder removed yesterday. He wasn t allowed to leave hospital till he urinated. He is still there. He cant urinate at all Has no sensation to do so. A catheter was put in. He is so swollen and blotted ..Urologist coming tomorrow. Any ideas?

I really appreciate your concern, if urinary catheter is there then no sensation would be there for urination, if there is some swelling is there so this may not be due to catheter ( You have not mentioned where the swelling is ?) over all this is nothing to worry, because he is already in hospital and there he would be taken great care, take care.
