What Causes Difficulty To Conceive After Removing Mirena IUD?

Hi, I have a question, I had the mirena iud in for 3.5 years. May 18 it came out, my husband and I have been actively trying to have another baby. A few months ago I met with my current ob and she told me when we were ready to come in have it removed. When my iud came out I didn t bleed or spot, is this normal? We started trying since it came out. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative, could it be to early? I went through the mirena crash symptoms the week it came out.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* Initial variation of menstrual period may occur after the withdrawal of Mirena IUD which lasts for around 1 month hardly.

* If persistent beyond that period and inability to conceive for further 6 months can be due to some other underlying issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
