What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing?

My mom (90 yrs) is taking calcium tablets. Because of the size of the tablet, she frequently suffers because she can hardly swallow the tablet. Doing this three times a day is becoming difficult. Is there a powder or liquid substitute for calcium? Kindly advise.

Hi,

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and is essential for building and maintaining strong bones and teeth. It also plays a vital role in keeping your muscles, nerves, and heart functioning normally.

Calcium supplements may be used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as bone loss (osteoporosis), weak bones (osteomalacia), decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism), and a certain muscle disease (latent tetany).

Your mother has trouble swallowing pills, and for this reason I’d suggest to take the Calcium Citrate Pure powder.

Hope I have answered your query.
