Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of difficulty in swallowing which could be due to granular pharyngitis and due to acid reflux disease. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out other condition like sore throat. Doctor may order blood test and throat swab test to confirm diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin, cephalexin or penicillin) course for around 10 days and vitamin C supplement for quick recovery. Doctor may also prescribe antacid and H2 blocker in case of acidic reflux disease. For now what you can do is gargling and rinsing with warm saline water ,drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated and take ibuprofen (if not allergic ) or acetaminophen for pain and inflammation. Avoid smoking.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
