What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing, Throat Tightness And Vomiting?

I have severe acid reflux or heart burn the past 2 days, I usually take omperazolam(?) I am out. But in the past couple months I ve also had a really hard time swallowing, especially meat. It feels like it gets stuck in my throat. I have actually thrown up several times from it. Just today I was taking a tylenol and it felt stuck in my throat, I tried to drink water, milk and finally after about 10 minutes I just started vomiting. Is that just acid reflux? \

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a acid reflux. I recommend using Omeprazole twice a day in the morning and evening for a week. I also suggest using Maalox three times a day.

I recommend avoiding food that can trigger the symptoms such as spicy food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
