What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Food After Severe Vomiting?

I had severe vomiting and diarrhea 2 nights ago that included a trip to the ER. This evening my Adams Apple is very sore and tender to the touch and difficult to swallow and painful. What should I do? I m a 64-year old female in good health taking no meds. I do not drink or smoke.

Hi. I have gone through your query.The complaints you are having is due to the severe vomiting you had.I would recommend: 1-Gargle with a hot saline water 3 times a day.2- An Anaesthetic Antacid 3 times a day before meals.3- A Cap Esmoperazole 20 mg-Domperidone 30 mg once a day.4-A Light boiled meal.Thanks.
