Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have PTSD and am on 20 mg escitalopram. I also see a chiropractor for cervical spine problems. Sometimes my dreams are bizarre. I see myself responding with my hands. My eyes are closed. I also have headaches. What s going on? When I sleep sometimes I can t open my eyes and have difficulty opening both eyes. Never experienced such things until this year. I ve also had 4 car accidents first being a rollover. Last year I fell and hit my head.
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I reviewed your query and here is advise. I think all your nightmares come from PTSD. Have you tried to meet a psychotherapist to help you with it? It is very helpful in most cases. Maybe it will help you reduce escitalopram doses too.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
