What Causes Difficulty In Breathing And Cramping In The Abdomen?
HI MY GIRLFRIEND IS EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY BREATHING WHILE LAYING DOWN SHE FEELS ALOT OF PRESSURE AND CRAMPING IN HER ABDOMEN SHE HAS ONLY ATE ONCE TODAY SHE HAD EGGS AND TOAST. THE PAIN AND INTENSE CRAMPS HAVE BEEN ON GOING SINCE ELEVEN THIRTY AM. YESTERDAY. SHE SAYS IT FEELS KIND OF LIKE BEING IN LABOR
Having excruciating abdominal pain that seem like being in labor warrant an urgent visit with the doctor. There are many causes of abdominal pain and some of them are emergencies that should be diagnosed and treated on time. If the pain level is so much (almost 10 out of 10, or as much as labor pains), then an emergency should be ruled out. A doctor will have to touch her tummy and check for rigidity and other signs that we see in the case of an acute abdomen. An ultrasound examination and an x-ray may be ordered as well.
According to the findings, the doctor will decide on further treatment and follow up.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
