What Causes Difficulty Breathing Despite Having A Pacemaker?

I am 49 and in June 2014 I had Bradycardia with a heart rate down to 29 bpm. It has been 5 months since I got my pacemaker and I still feel as if I am not getting enough oxygen when I walk up stairs. I can handle walking on a treadmill for 3 miles without a problem. I just completed a sleep test and do not have the results. I am positive I have acid reflux too. My question is, if I hear wheezing that wakes me up when I sleep on my right side, do I need to be concerned that I have something else going on with my lungs?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion, you should consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Chest x ray
2. PFT (pulmonary function test)
To rule out bronchitis.
If your pace maker is working well and no issues with it than pulmonary cause should be looked in your case.
You are also having reflux disease. This can also cause bronchitis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and rule out bronchitis. PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators too.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
