What Causes Diarrhea With Dark Stool?

I suffer from a B12 defeince and lack of iron. I had a stomach bypass when I was 27. since then I have been in poor health . I m now on B12 shots and have to take 11 pills a days for iron And vitamins to try to build me up. since Oct my stomach has been hurting I m scheduled To have a lower and upper GI on March 3. My question is I just now started passing black diarrhea. Do you think this is cancer?

Hi,
From history it seems that due to taking Iron medicine you might be having black stool.
Iron salt can cause stomach upset and loose motion as well.
Go for stool test to rule out having malena i.e black color stool.
Take Iron medicine with full stomach.
Ok and take care.
