What Causes Diarrhea, Dizziness And Feeling Of Passing Out?

My stomach is upset today, slight diarrhea. Yesterday at the grocery store, I felt like I was going to pass out. I was also very dizzy. I am on medication for HTN (lisinopril/hctz and norvasc) I did take the medication without eating anything. When I came home I ate, but still felt dizzy. Today before coming into work, I took a shower and the soap smelled really strong like metal. At this time my stomach feels gassy.

Hi,

It's possible that your symptoms are related to your medication or your blood pressure, as dizziness and feeling faint can be side effects of high blood pressure or the medication used to treat it. Taking medication without eating can also exacerbate these symptoms.

Additionally, the stomach upset and diarrhea could be a side effect of the medication or a separate issue altogether. It may be a good idea to talk to your doctor or pharmacist about these symptoms to see if any adjustments need to be made to your medication or if further testing or evaluation is necessary.
