What Causes Diarrhea And Stomach Pain Inspite Of Giving Enterogermina In Infants?

Hi Doc, my son 22 month old had semi solid stools from last 1 day(3 times). Today it become watery. I gave enterogermina 5ml 2 times in the interval of 3 hrs then it got stopped for 8 hrs. But again it started with bit stomach ache. I gave 3rd dose, then in 2 hrs he passed 4 times loose stools, can I now give 4th dose? He is jolly, passing urine normal but drinking very very little water. Pls advise. Rgds, Varsha

Hello,

Enterogermina contain probiotics and you can give it to your baby for next 3-5 days. If stomach pain increasing than consult pediatrician for starting antibiotics as well. Meanwhile give him more water and juice to maintain hydration.
