What Causes Diarrhea After An Accident?

Hi,, I was in a car accident 4days ago and have diarrhea after I eat. I have not changed my diet. Should I be concerned or is it just that my body is just getting over the trauma. I was in a car that flipped 3times. I appear to be fine except for some joint sprains and many bruises. Is it ok for diareah to happen after car accident. I-

The diarrhea occurring at this point may be coincidental because there is no link between the accident and the diarrhea unless you had abdominal injury along with the muscle injury.

Acute diarrhea is most often due to infection of the gastrointestinal tract either by a virus or bacteria. There are other causes as well but infection is most common.
Viral infection is more common.

Treatment is usually the following: (1) hold off solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms. When the symptoms hold off, can start some amounts of dry foods.

(2)probiotics help to shorten the course of diarrhea

(3)medication such as pepto bismol
