What Causes Delayed Periods?

M a 20 year girl when i had sex then i got my periods after 25 days but now i am not getting my periods today 29 day i have a lot pain in tummy bt no periods i hadsex last tym at the last day of my periods nd last time my periods last for 6 days first tym help me

Hi,

Since there is delay in getting periods and you have history of having intercourse, it is advisable to take urine pregnancy test.

If it is negative, kindly take an ultrasound scan of the abdomen and get your blood checked for FSH and LH levels. Delay in getting periods could be due to stress and hormonal imbalance. Periods can be induced and corrected by administration of medications.

If urine pregnancy test is positive, you need to take an ultrasound scan for knowing the status. Kindly consult Obstetrician with the reports for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
