I have the mirena but I have missed my period last period I had was at the beinning of may. Two days ago had a little pink blood thought I was starting my period never happen though. Been very tired headaches moody. Is there a possibility I gotten pregnant on this birth control
Let me tell you that all these symptoms you have mentioned are side effects of Mirena. Mirena IUD have levonorgestrel hormone on it, which can cause missed period, altered bleeding pattern. It can also vause headaches and mood swings.
You dont need to worry about that, it will get bettee with time. In case your symptoms persist, you may have to get it removed, and swotch to some other contraceptive method.
Have a nice day ahead. Dr. Munaim
