What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pills?
My girlfriend s menstrual cycle is of 23 days average, she had her last menstruation on 19th March and we had unprotected sex on 1st April but I just managed to withdraw before ejaculation and then she took emergency contraceptive pills within 96 hours, is there any chance of her getting pregnant? And will there be any delay in her periods due to the pill?

Hi, I think if there was any contact of precum or ejaculate directly with the vagina, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. Emergency pill is not effective if taken after 72 hours. If test is negative, she can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods. It can be due to some stress factor or may be due to emergency pill also. Hope it helps.
