General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

When used within 72 hours following an unprotected sex Positnor-2 is up to 95% effective in preventing an unwanted pregnancy. Apart from pregnancy delayed period could be due to stress, increased physical activity, job change, or hormonal disorders. Your doctor would prescribe Norethisterone after doing certain lab tests to rule out pregnancy and other possible causes of delayed period.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
