What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Postinor After Having Sex?

Hi.. I can say that my menstrual cycle is regular. I had my first day of period last March 15 and I had unprotected sex March 19. I believe I was on my safe period so I never took anything. Then I had unprotected sex again last April 2 but I was not sure if I was on my safe day so I took Postinor on April 4. If my period should still be regular, I should have had my period last April 11 or 12 right? But I don t have my period till now? Could I be pregnant? Or did my taking of postinor messed up my cycle? Is it time to take a pregnancy test? Thanks..

Hi.
I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.

As you have postinor 2 within 72 hours, 50 to 60% chance of preventing . Also your next cycle will have a impact because of the used pill & not the present one.

I advice you to,
- do serum beta HCG test which is more reliable than HPT, if u didn't get your periods after 3weeks of taking the pill.
- Consult your gynaecologist for further assistance.
