What Causes Delay In Periods After Taking Ipill?
Hi doctor.I had sex on my 13th day of cycle nd took an I pill the next day morning. My periods is delayed for 16 days. Is it a side effect of I pill or should I get a test done?I had taken ipill several times before but it hadn t delayed this long. I am too worried please help.

13th day of a period is highly unsafe period for intercourse as 14th day usually the egg is released. I-pills are not 100% efficacious in avoiding pregancy and at the same time, it is also known to cause altered period (either delay or excessive bleeding). So in order to rule out a pregnancy I suggest you to do a home urine pregancy test right away. Hope this answers your query.
