What Causes Decreased Appetite, Nervousness, Shivering And Heart Palpitation?

I am 28 year old man and from last one week I have been suffering from loss of appetite, nervousness, shiver, dizziness and lack of concentration, periods of heart palpation and labored breathing . What might I be suffering from? Is it just a result of stress or could it be much more serious? This happened to me just after my parents left me alone one week back as they went back to hometown and I am being alone here.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. From your description it sounds like you are having panic disorder and generalized anxiety. This is all brought about by your stress. I can recommend doing some self help work books on anxiety disorder and if needed a medication like prozac or paxil to reduce your anxieties. Doing the combination of workbooks for cognitive behavior therapy and medication works very well to control anxiety and panic disorders
