What Causes Death Followed By Vomiting Along With Blood In Nose And Mouth?

greetings i just had a case where a baby over a year old started vomitting without any previous allerting sign and was brought to the hospital later on his breathing frequency changed and was followed by blood coming out the nose, mouth and ears at the same time and the baby died. the doctors are unable to determine the cause of the death so please what can be the cause?

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, though the autopsy of the dead baby is the final answer to the cause of death, there can be relevant assumptions for the possible clinical condition as:
- Aspiration of gastric contents followed by sudden chocking and violent retching giving bloody vomit
- Infanticide
- Ingestion of insecticide accidentally as phenyl bottle or rat killing liquid
- Previously undiagnosed metabolic disorder
- Others
