What Causes Darkness And Itchiness On Face Of A 48 Year Old Man?

I am a 48 year old man. I have had some darkening and itchiness on my face for last two years and doctors have diagnosed me wtih Rosacea. My doctor has prescribed Flutivate cream - daily for a week and then gradually reducing the frequency. I believe it is a steroid. What could be the possible side effects?

Hi,

As per your query, you have darkness and itchiness on the face and you have been prescribed steroids for the same which is absolutely safe and a good lightening agent for short term use.

I would suggest you use natural face wash solution in the morning and evening followed by application of adapalene cream over the pimples. Once your face is cleared of pimples, you can apply kojic acid and tan care sunscreen.

I would advise that you use vitamin c combination. This is a simple, harmless lightening agent which can be used for as long the blackish pigmentation is there. Try not to touch the area too much.
