What Causes Dark Yellow Urine With Floaters In It?

Sir/ma am, I work in urinalysis and i m new to the job. I saw a specimen that was dark yellow/orange in color and had white floaters in it. Also, it began to congeal on the bottom after allowing to rest for a few minutes. Could this be a medical condition or is it possible the specimen was tampered with?

Dear-dark urine can happen when we don't drink enough water and it becomes very concentrated. However, the white floaters can be protein or sugar ,so it is important to have an urine analysis . Some medical conditions like liver problems or gallbladder obstruction can give an increase in bilirrubin that can bring the color of the urine darker and the stool lighter. I recommend you to drink at least 32 onz of water and see if there is a change in the color of the urine, if not, then get an evaluation with your doctor.
