Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 66 years old and have been having an issue with black or dark stains in underwear. Never goes away! I ve read all the blogs about Tylenol and meds but I have had kidney problems in the past. Can this be from the kidneys or is it coming from the vagina?
It seems most likely to be from vaginal spotting. However, it's advisable to investigate with urine routine microscopic examination to rule out the presence of blood in urine. It's advisable to investigate with pelvic ultrasonography as well to do further work up.
You can consult a gynecologist for an examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
