What Causes Dark Discoloration On The Eye And Neck After Injury?

Hi.My mother is 76 years old and she had a bad fall while on her walk trip to the park. She is having black eye and her neck and face is all blackened on the right side of her fall. What is the cause of the black shades appeared after the fall. Is it blood clot? will it go away?Is there any theraphy? She said its not painful.

Hello,

The black eye, neck, and face after a fall are probably caused by hematoma because of traumatic fall.

If she is possibly taking blood thinning medications the hematoma is being worse than it should be.

I think you don't have to worry about it. Put some ice in that place of injury and also use ibuprofen for pain.

Also, she can use support or walker to prevent Fallings.
