What Causes Dark Discoloration And Lumps On Left Scrotum Post Vasectomy?

Hi. My husband is 34. He had a vasectomy done two years ago. After his procedure he had a horrible infection for about three months. His balls were the size of a cantaloupe. They were black and blue. It s been two years now, as I said and he has been complaining of a extra lump in the left side of his scrotum. It s squishy like his ball sack and probably the size and shape of a peanut. He has an appointment on Monday with a urologist. Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be related to his vasectomy? What are the signs of testicular cancer?
