What Causes Cracked And Painful Nipples?
Went in the ocean this past weekend and my nipples started hurting while I was in the water. Got home and they were raw and cracked looking, painful. Next morning I have scabs forming and still sore two days later but not as much, The same thing happened back in August as well. Why and what?

It seems that there might be having some irritation on nipples due to ocean water or some thing allergic bite producing itching, irritation and infection.
Clean the part properly and apply triple action cream for few days.
If there is oozing, pain and swelling, go for one course of antibiotic medicine for 3-5 days.
