I an coughing up clear mucus. I have had nodules on my lungs for about 4 years and and get scans and no change. I have not been able to see my pulmonologist for over a year and m y cough is changing. I also have cough variant asthma. Why am i constantly coughing up thick mucus?
This is due to persistent respiratory tract infection mostly from bacteria. You need to take antibiotic cover of Levofloxacine for 3 to 5 days with Bromohexine syrup. As your infection clears you will feel healthy and free from it.
