ENT Specialist 's  Response
Causes of dry cough with foreign body sensation in throat pharyngitis, post nasal drip due to sinusitis/allergic rhinitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, tumors in oropharynx/larynx.Such a long history warrants appropriate investigation.I would advice you to do endoscopic, evaluation of nose and throat and chest x ray, sputum test for tb.These investigations can rule out many serious conditions.Avoid smoking, cold items mean while.
