What Causes Cough While Taking Deep Breaths And Exhaling?
I feel the urge to cough when I exhale deeply. Exhaling completely is difficult, sometimes have a tiny bit of mucous that causes me to clear my throat, but my dr. said lungs sound clear and my oxygen levels are good. Constantly feeling like my breath is catching or that I m short of breath though. Frustrated!

Anxiety may also cause your above symptoms. Anxiety will cause hyperventilation which will cause washout of carbon dioxide. If you develop repeated episodes cover your face with a plastic bag and breath in it for few minutes by this way your symptoms will subside.
