What Causes Cough After Eating Despite Taking Singulair And Nasonex?
My son has a cough after eating/ drinking cold foods and liquids. He was placed on Singulair, zyrtec, and nasonex 4 weeks ago with little to no improvement. We had him on prevacid and Zantac before this thinking it was Gerd. Did not help? Could this be a neurogenic cough? He had several viral infections early in the Spring. Thank you, Misti
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have cough after eating despite taking Singulair and Nasonex . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are probably due to Singulair and Nasonex as their side effects , because both are known to cause breathing difficulties as their side effects . I would suggest you to consult doctor who prescribe these medicines . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . I would suggest you to also consult an Allergist and get evaluated and after a proper allergic testing done you can be advised to take other anti allergics like Benadryl and even steroids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
