For the past month I have had changes in bowel movements, sometimes normal, sometimes constipation, or loose stools. I also seem to have indigestion with belching at times and increased gas. I feel bloated and uncomfortable but not any sharp pain. Discomfort is both upper and lower abdomen. Symptoms seem worse if I delay eating or eat a smaller meal. Full meals seem to relieve symptoms temporarily. I have had similar issues before but this seems to be lasting longer. I have tried calcium chews and Protonix for a few days. Gastrict noises in the lower abdomen are very noticeable when I go to bed along with gas. Symptoms seemed to have gotten worse after 10 days of amoxicillin for a sinus infections about a month ago. I am 66 years old. I take 50 mg of metoprolol, 160 mg or Diovan, 10 mg or citalopram daily, along with 600 mg Calcium supplement, Vitamin D3 1000 units, and a multi vitamin all prescribed by my cardiologist who also implanted a pacemaker for sick sinus syndrome 2.5 years ago. Otherwise I am in good health overall.
