What Causes Constipation And Stomach Discomfort After A Laparoscopy?
Had a laparoscopy on Feb 15th. On Feb 19th I woke up to being extremely constipated. To the point where my bowel was stuck open and after 2 hours I finally got most out (actually had to clear it myself) So traumatizing and now I ve had non stop pain under my right rib and I not only have a hard time sleeping from th3 pain, but I have gurgling feeling at times while breathing.
Some advice that I can give to you is: -Use Simethicone medicine. -Avoid chewing gum. -Limit your intake of carbonated drinks. -Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils. -Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw. -Use lactose-free dairy products.
Do not worry, you will feel better, in a few days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
