What Causes Constipation, Abdominal Pain And Bloating In An 85-year-old?
My mom has been to many specialists (GI docs) and cannot find out what is wrong with her going on 2 yrs: symptoms: she has bloating, looks like she is pregnant (she is 85 yrs old); constipation, abdominal pain; burping; she had colonoscopy and upper scope and lower scope and nothing shows up; has done breath test to kill bad bacteria; nothing in her colon track; no obstruction; no diverticulitis in intenstines; renal function is fine; the only think unchecked is her small intestine. Doc put her on Metamucil and helping a little bit with BM s and constipation. She is so tired of having these symptoms and no result. Thank you, Shirley and Greg
