Hi,
Usually, the white foam vomiting may be due to multiple cause like- empty stomach, acid reflux, bacterial infections and
yeast infections. In all these conditions, the activity of acid secreted by the stomach is increased & it gives rise to foamy vomiting. Also, in
severe vomiting, intestine secretes fluid to support in the process of digestion.
This fluid, when mixed with acid, give rise to foamy vomiting. In the case of your child, excessive vomiting seems the cause of vomiting with white foam. Usually this is not a matter of concern and in most of the cases, it generally stops with
home remedies like adequate liquid intake to avoid dehydration and dilute the acid secreted in the digestive tract, thus treating foamy vomiting.
Also, frequent intake of small meals in place of 3-4 large meals also help to treat the vomiting. Still, if the symptoms are more severe
like dehydration, palor, severe
abdominal pain, then it is an indication to see your doctor and treatment done accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
