Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constant Vomiting Along With Nausea And Abdominal Pain?
I had sudden onset of vomiting x15 and severe epigastric and RUQ pain 4 nights ago that landed me to the er. In the ER I reviewed 2L of LR/zofran/ and dilaudid. Labs were drawn all WNL except LFT s which were high as was AST/ALT. Abd ultra sound was done which did not show any common bile duct stones. No abd ct scan was done. Gi was consulted and said I was fine and elevated LFT s were due to vomiting. I had vomited 15x in a period of 30 min. I am wondering if something was missed. They mentioned ercp but gi said it was from vomiting. Still 4 days later I still am nauseated that gets worse with food and still in moderate pain especially when eating. Do you have any thoughts??
It is due to some sort of gastric infection. Take some antibiotic like norflox-tz or oflox-oz after an expert opinion along with meftal-spaz or cyclopam for abdominal pain. Take cap rekool-d or omez-d empty stomach for vomiting and nausea. Drink plenty of oral fluids to maintain the hydration of your body.
