What Causes Constant Urge To Urinate?

I have a constant urge to urinate but sometimes nothing or very little urine comes out. When the urine does come out, there is a tingling sensation there. Not really a burning sensation. I ve also had slight cramps but they have ceased. Is this a UTI or something else?

Greetings
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
You have rightly pointed out to UTI . The problem you are having is called as increased urinary frequency which is one of the complaints of urinary tract infection apart from burning urination , lower abdominal pain etc.

To be sure if this is urinary tract infection , a test by the name of Urine Detailed Report may be done to identify if there are white blood cells more then normal .If there are then we can confirm the problem as UTI and simple antibiotic may be prescribed which will take care of the infection.

This problem is because when there is urinary tract infection then the bladder is also infected which makes it more sensitive to urine and when ever even slight amount of urine is collected , it causes an urge of urination because of bladder irritation and hence you have constant urge of urination , but very little urine comes out.

I hope this answer was helpful. In case you need any further assistance then feel free to contact in writing .
