What Causes Constant Sinus Pressure ?

I have a constant sinus pressure and once every two or three days I can blow my nose and basically it s like water starts flowing from my right nostril. If I breath in through my nose, a sharp pain shoots through my cheek bone. There is a hint of blood in the watery drainage. Is this just a common sinus infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear thanks for the question.

It doesn't look like a normal sinus infection. Most probably it is related to deviated nasal septum because that is common reason behind recurring sinus infections and pain in face and head.

Dear you need to visit an ENT specialist and under go examination and x ray of nasal bones to come to a diagnosis. Surgery is the definitive treatment.

Meanwhile you can take a course of antibiotics (cefixeme 200mg two times a day for a week), pain killers and decongestant.

I hope I have clarified your queries. Do write for follow up queries. I wish you good health. Please write a feedback. Thank you
