What Causes Constant Pressure On The Urinary Bladder?

I went to Md last week for left pelvic pain and increased urge to urinate even after emptying bladder esp at night when I lie down .... Also have had left leg pain on same side for a few months.... Had pelvic US today and a trans vaginal US which came out normal..... Still having left side discomfort in pelvic area and always feeling like I have to pee when my bladder empty. I am 47 and have 2 kids 14 and 11 both vaginal deliveries ... Do you think I need to see a urologist possible bladder issues???

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

When the ultrasound is normal with constant bladder pressure, I suspect neurologic cause in form of nerve involvement of pelvic viscera.

In our clinic, I recommend uroflowmetry examination for further diagnostic work up to proceed for the management.

I would like to admire your further doubts anytime.

Take care.
