Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I am a 55 year old woman. I have been experiencing pain under my left ribcage/breast. Not severe but almost constant and uncomfortable for the passed three weeks added to this over the passed 4 nights I am having to get up and wee (large amounts) at least 4 - 5 times each night. Any suggestions please
The symptoms seem to be related to costochondritis. Costochondritis is the medical term for inflammation of the cartilage that joins your ribs to your breastbone. I suggest using an anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to use cold compresses for local application.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
