What Causes Constant Pain Around The Kidney Area While On Opdivo?

I had kidney cancer-left kidney and it was removed in 2011. The cancer has returned in the breast. I am in a Opdivo trial and doing pretty good. My question is about a constant ache in my left side where the kidney used to be - should I be worried about this or what should I do?

hi sir/ madam,
welcome to Health Care Magic,

I can certainly understand your concern towards your pain around the kidney area, as musculoskeletal pain is one of the common side effect while on Opdivo, so there is a possibility that absence of left kidney may lead to aggravation of that pain. you can start on some pain killers, like tramadol, as NSAIDs may cause damage to your kidney, hope this information would help you.

please post your further questions if any
thank you
