What Causes Constant Lower Abdominal Pain?

Good Morning, I have had some lower abdominal pain for a couple of days now. I can pass urine without any discomfort and I also checked my stool this morning. No apparent issues there. The pain is not constant and there is no visible bloating, although the feeling of bloating is there. The area to which the pain is concentrated is my lower left hand side, approx. two inches below the navel. No flatulence at all. The area is tender to the touch, but otherwise isn t causing any issues. Fit, healthy, 39 year old male, non smoker, non drinker. Many thanks for your time. Tristan.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First of all, lower abdomen pain has many reasons like infection, obstruction, inflammation of some internal organ, kidney stones, it can also be a referred pain. Is there any history of trauma to the abdomen recently?

To know the underlying cause, it is very important to do physical examination along with all medical history.

In addition, there might be need to get an ultrasound abdomen done along with some blood tests. I suggest you visit your doctor and follow his advice. After doing physical examination, he will guide you further with all required things.

Buscopan helps to get relief in cases of pain abdomen, although pay a small visit to your doctor and do not ignore it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
